Gajab Home Services policy

Complaints & Dispute Resolution Policy

How to raise and escalate a home-service complaint involving Gajab Home Services or a local provider in the UK, India or USA.

Effective 19 August 2026Applies to UK • India • USA enquiries
Plain-language notice

This policy is written for the website's current enquiry and coordination model. A local quotation may add job-specific terms, but it cannot remove mandatory rights under applicable law.

1. How to make a complaint

Email info@gajabmarket.in with the subject ‘Complaint’, or use the regional telephone or WhatsApp contact shown on the website. If a local provider supplied the service, also use the contact details on its quotation or invoice.

  • Your name and a safe contact method.
  • Service address, date, service type and quotation or invoice reference.
  • A short description of what happened and the outcome you are requesting.
  • Relevant photographs, messages, quotations, receipts or certificates.
Do not send full payment-card numbers, passwords, identity documents or unrelated sensitive information.

2. Response standard

We aim to acknowledge a complaint within 48 hours and to provide a reasoned response or progress update within 30 days. A safety issue should be triaged sooner. More time may be needed for technical inspection, insurer involvement, provider evidence or a complex cross-border issue.

These service standards do not extend a shorter statutory deadline or prevent you from using a legal remedy.

3. What we will review

  • The accepted scope, price, exclusions, timing and contracting provider.
  • Messages, photos, access conditions, inspection results and completion records.
  • Whether the work required a licence, certificate, permit or specialist supervision.
  • Any payment, cancellation, warranty, damage, conduct or safety concern.
  • The remedy available under the contract and applicable consumer law.

4. Possible outcomes

  • An explanation or correction of records.
  • A return visit, repair, repeat performance or completion plan where appropriate.
  • A price adjustment, refund or payment plan by the responsible contracting party.
  • Referral to an insurer, licensing authority, payment provider or independent expert.
  • Suspension or removal of a provider from future coordination where justified.

5. Country escalation routes

United Kingdom: unresolved consumer issues may be taken to Citizens Advice/Trading Standards or an applicable approved alternative-dispute-resolution body. A final response will identify an ADR route when required and state whether the contracting provider agrees or is obliged to use it.

India: consumers may use the National Consumer Helpline and the applicable Consumer Commission/e-Daakhil process. If Indian e-commerce grievance rules apply to a later transactional version of the platform, their complaint timelines and officer-disclosure requirements will also apply.

United States: consumers may contact the relevant state contractor or professional licensing board, state attorney general or the Federal Trade Commission, depending on the issue. State and local remedies vary.

6. Privacy complaints

Mark the email ‘Privacy Complaint’. UK users may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Indian users may use the applicable grievance and Data Protection Board route as the phased framework becomes applicable. US users may use rights and complaint routes available under their state law.

7. Immediate safety or crime

For immediate danger, suspected crime, fire, gas leak, electrical danger or serious injury, contact emergency services, the relevant utility or police first. A complaint email is not monitored as an emergency channel.
