This policy is written for the website's current enquiry and coordination model. A local quotation may add job-specific terms, but it cannot remove mandatory rights under applicable law.

1. Purpose and scope

These standards describe what Gajab Home Services expects when coordinating a local professional. They do not claim that every person shown, contacted or proposed has already passed every check for every jurisdiction.

Before a booking, the contracting provider should be identified and the credentials relevant to the exact location and work should be confirmed. A general business registration is not a substitute for a regulated trade licence.

2. Baseline provider requirements

  • Accurate legal or trading identity, contact details and invoice information.
  • Current business, trade, tax and local registrations required for the work location.
  • Relevant training, licence, certification, supervision and permits.
  • Public/general liability, workers' compensation or employer cover where required or appropriate.
  • A written scope, price basis, material responsibility, exclusions and warranty information.
  • Safe tools, protective equipment, lawful waste handling and incident reporting.
  • Respectful conduct, non-discrimination, confidentiality and protection of the property.

3. United Kingdom examples

  • Gas work must be carried out by a business and engineer authorised for that category on the Gas Safe Register.
  • Electrical and other notifiable building work must meet applicable Building Regulations; competent-person schemes can allow qualified installers to self-certify covered work.
  • A business transporting controlled waste from jobs may need the appropriate waste-carrier registration and disposal records.
  • Consumer quotations and off-premises or distance bookings must include the information and cancellation rights required by applicable UK law.
  • Employers' liability insurance, health-and-safety duties and other cover apply where the legal conditions are met.

4. India examples

  • Electrical work must follow current Central Electricity Authority safety rules and any state electrical-contractor, supervisor or wireman licensing requirements.
  • Commercial pest-control operations using insecticides require licensing under the Insecticides Act and Rules, including premises/product and trained-person requirements where applicable.
  • The provider must maintain the entity, local establishment, labour, tax/GST and municipal registrations that apply to its turnover, activity and location.
  • Consumer information, invoices, grievance handling and online transaction practices must comply with the Consumer Protection Act and applicable e-commerce rules.

5. United States examples

  • Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, home-improvement and contractor licensing is largely state or local; the provider must hold every licence required where the property is located.
  • Technicians who handle regulated refrigerants in stationary air-conditioning or refrigeration work must hold the applicable EPA Section 608 certification.
  • Paid work that disturbs paint in covered pre-1978 homes or child-occupied facilities generally requires an EPA or authorised-state lead-safe certified firm and renovator practices.
  • Pesticide application must comply with federal label law and applicable state commercial-applicator certification and business licensing.
  • Business registration, foreign qualification, permits, bonding, general liability and workers' compensation vary by state, county and city.

6. Customer verification

Customers may request a provider's legal name, licence or registration number, issuing authority, expiry date, insurance certificate and written scope. Verify critical credentials using the issuing authority's official register where one exists.

If a required credential cannot be confirmed, regulated work should not proceed. Tell us at info@gajabmarket.in so the request can be reviewed or reassigned.

7. Safety and property conduct

  • Stop work and explain the risk if conditions are unsafe or outside the agreed competence.
  • Isolate utilities only when trained and authorised to do so.
  • Protect occupants, pets, finishes and neighbouring property from foreseeable harm.
  • Do not conceal damage, bypass permits, falsify certificates or pressure a customer into extra work.
  • Leave the work area reasonably safe and provide required test, disposal or completion records.

8. Background checks and endorsements

A background check, criminal-record check, trade-association membership, rating or insurance limit is not guaranteed unless it is expressly confirmed in writing for that provider. We will not describe a provider as licensed, insured, certified or background-checked without a reasonable basis for the statement.
